About Ging’s
Hey there! I’m the face behind the designs. Get to know me! I’m a curious and thoughtful researcher who cares deeply about how people experience the world.

Ging Chen
UX Researcher & Designer | Project Manager
I’m a UX project manager from Taiwan, focused on bridging AI, business, and real human needs.
Over the past 7+years, I’ve led end‑to‑end UI/UX and product initiatives in‑house, specialising in SaaS, B2B and AI‑driven platforms. My experience spans large‑scale B2B/B2C projects, soft‑ and hardware integration, and AI product development—designing human‑centred AI experiences that are not only intelligent, but understandable, trustworthy, and usable in real workflows. My work focuses on helping teams move beyond usability improvements toward identifying new opportunities, unmet needs, and future directions grounded in real human experiences.
I am also an AI-forward UX researcher
I’m actively evolving into a holistic product designer, connecting UX, AI and strategy, and exploring new AI solutions that can adapt to fast‑changing industries and unlock better ways of working. I think insight generation remains a human-led process. AI outputs often surface interesting directions, but meaningful insights come from interpreting those signals within the broader context of user behavior, business goals, and product constraints. By keeping a strong human-in-the-loop approach, I use AI to support the research process while ensuring the final insights remain thoughtful and grounded for product teams and business stakeholders.

My journey to Research
My background is in commercial design, where I focused on visual design and marketing. In 2018, I took on a UI/UX design project where user feedback led to functional improvements that significantly increased the target click-through rate. This experience showed me how even small design changes can make a big impact.
In 2019, I decided to leave my job and return to school to pursue a Master’s degree in Service Design. Over two years, I interned at a consulting firm, worked on research and real-world projects, and contributed to international paper submissions and conferences. These experiences helped me develop an integrated perspective across users, services, business, and products.
2026 marks a new chapter in my journey. I’m extending this exploration into AI, actively exploring how emerging AI technologies can enhance research workflows and reshape how we understand user behavior. I’m interested not only in how to use AI, but in how to design more human, trustworthy, and valuable AI solutions and product experiences.
My Research Philosophy

Context Shapes
Research Insight
My background in service design trained me to analyze meaning through context, which I bring into UX research. By understanding users’ motivations, behaviors, and environments, I help product teams uncover insights that inform product strategy, not just usability fixes.
Lead Through Insight and Collaboration
I see research as a catalyst for better product decisions. By working closely with designers, product managers, and engineers, I help teams ask the right questions, build shared understanding, and act confidently on research insights.
Human Judgment Powers AI Research
I believe insight generation is still human-led. AI can reveal useful patterns, but meaningful insights come from understanding user behavior, business goals, and product context. I use AI to support research while keeping the final insights thoughtful, relevant, and grounded.
